Seabranch Preserve State Park consists of approximately 920 acres. About 275 acres are designated wetlands. The park reflects what coastal scrub looked like before urbanization.

Much of the park is dominated by ancient sand dunes. The elevations range from sea level to 30.7 feet with this change occurring within less than a mile.

The baygall natural community at Seabranch Preserve State Park is an important and rare natural feature in south Florida. The baygall receives water from the adjacent, higher sandy landscape, where water slowly filters through the sand and out into the swamp. This natural community, and the tidal swamp, have been designated as protected zones in the park.

Manatee Creek crosses the park in the northwestern corner. The west fork of Manatee Creek is tidal and brackish, whereas the east fork is an intermittent freshwater stream.


Limited park amenities include restroom facilities, an interpretive display and a small covered picnic area.

Hours of Operation
The park is open from 8 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year for hiking and nature appreciation.

Driving Directions
Seabranch Preserve State Park is located in Eastern Martin County about 10 miles south of Stuart. Access to the park is from S.R. A1A near the VFW parking lot.
