Began operations on October 25th, 2003. It is
a tourist passenger railroad that runs from Mount
Dora to Eustis in central Florida on the tracks
of the Florida Central Railroad.
Headquartered in downtown Mount Dora, and operating on rails that date back to the 1880's, we offer a unique glimpse into the past of our American heritage, with a number of vintage rail excursions that we are certain the whole family will enjoy.
For some it will bring back fond memories of
their youth and for others it will be an exciting
look back into the railroad heritage of a by-gone
era.
Location:
Our Ticket Agency and Gift Shop are located at
150 West Third Avenue in downtown Mount Dora,
at the corner of Third and Alexander Streets.
It is directly in front of the historic Lakeside
Inn, and across from the Mount Dora Chamber of
Commerce. The Chamber building is the renovated
Atlantic Coast Line Railroad station that was
built in 1915.
Our depot is a renovated 1935 Pullman coach (car No. 833), that was in service for Seaboard Air Line Railroad, on their famous Orange Blossom Special, until it's retirement in the late 1960's. Our gift shop has a wide variety of gifts and specialty items sure to please railfans of all ages.
The depot is equipped with an entrance ramp for easy access, a handicapped accessible restroom, and a waiting area for passengers. Boarding for our trains is from platform level with no stairs to climb.
Our depot is open one half hour before the first train departure of the day and will close one half hour after the last train of the day.
