Directions:

Heading East on Highway 98:
Go three miles past the Destin Bridge. You will see Big Kahuna’s on the left just past Gulf Shore Drive.

From the West:
Take Highway 98 three and one-half miles past the Mid-Bay Bridge. Big Kahuna’s will be on the right past Airport Road.

From I-10 to Destin:
1. Start out going West on E JAMES LEE BLVD/US-90/FL-10 toward FL-85/N FERDON BLVD.
2. Turn LEFT onto FL-85 S/N FERDON BLVD. Continue to follow FL-85 S.
3. Stay straight to go onto FL-123.
4. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto FL-85 S.
5. Stay straight to go onto FL-85 S/FLORIDA PL SE.
6. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto MIRACLE STRIP PKWY SE/US-98/FL-30.
Continue to follow US-98 E.


With more than 40 Water attractions and an Adventure Park, Big Kahuna’s offers something for every member of the family. You can’t do it all in just one day!

Only you know your own, or your child's, or who you are supervising level of swimming skills. We strongly recommend all Guests under 48" or who are weak or non-swimmers wear Coast Guard approved lifejackets where appropriate. In the wave pool, all guests under 48" are REQUIRED to wear a lifejacket and we insist that parents keep their children within arms reach for their close supervision on all water activities. Life jackets are available for rental at the Locker Station. When in doubt wear a life jacket!

  • Park Information Useful Tips!
    Big Kahuna's does not allow bathing attire with: belts, buckles, rivets, grommets, metal of any kind, or cut off jean shorts.
  • Big Kahuna's is concerned about your safety! Therefore, we do not allow glass containers, coolers, ice chests, food or beverages of any kind to be brought inside the park.
  • Running is not allowed at any time!
  • Diving masks and swimming goggles are not permitted. Persons with eyeglasses must have a head strap to participate in water attractions.
  • Persons under the influence of or possessing drugs or alcohol will be ejected without compensation and should not enter.
  • No refunds or rain checks for inclement weather.
  • Please comply with all safety rules and heed all warnings, verbal or written.
  • It is recommended that persons with pre-existing medical conditions; head, neck or back problems; and women who are pregnant not participate in or ride any attractions. Each individual should evaluate his or her ability to participate or ride any attractions.
  • This is a family park - profanity or abusive language is not permitted anywhere on park grounds.

Attention parents with infants:


  • Only You Know your own, or your child's, or who you are supervising level of swimming skills. We strongly recommend Guests under 48" or who are weak or non-swimmers wear Coast Guard approved lifejackets where appropriate. Life jackets are available at the Locker Rental Booth.When in doubt wear a life jacket!
  • We are extremely concerned about possible glass breakage in our park. Therefore, bottles and containers brought into the Park for an infant must be plastic. Also, children who wear diapers are required to wear a swim diaper for health and safety reasons.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older. Big Kahuna's is not responsible for unattended children.
  • Only Coast Guard approved floatation devices are permitted. Inflatable devices, as well as suits with attached or enclosed floats, are not permitted. Adults are not permitted to hold small children while riding attractions.

Height sometimes does matter!


  • Five Water Park attractions have height requirements. Only persons 44 inches tall and taller can ride: Raging Rhino River, Thunder River and Tiki River Run. Only persons 48 inches tall and taller may ride Jumanji and Maui Pipeline Speed Slides.
