for each pet. A pet fee will be charged
to help offset any additional staff costs to the
park. Also, a set of conduct rules will be enforced

NORTHEAST REGION
Fort Clinch State ParkFernandina Beach FL 32034
Daily tours with period reenactors depicting garrison life bring the fort to life for visitors. Sunbathing, swimming, and beachcombing are popular activities at the beach. Anglers can fish from the pier or take advantage of excellent surf fishing. Hikers and bicyclists can enjoy a six-mile trail through the park. Self-guided nature trails provide opportunities to learn about and observe native plants and wildlife. Read more

Eight trails provide opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, and bicycling. Ranger-led activities are offered on weekends, November through April. Fishing on Lake Wauberg is allowed and a boat ramp provides access for canoes and boats with electric motors. Gasoline powered boats are not allowed. Full-facility campsites are available for overnight visitors. Read more

Popular for snorkeling and scuba diving, the headwaters of the spring are also a great spot for swimming. Canoe and kayaks can be rented May through September. Children enjoy the playground in the picnic area. Hiking and bicycling are available on the north end trail system. The full-facility campground is surrounded by red oak woods. Read more

The park contains 2300 acres of rolling sandhills and long leaf pines, with several lakes and a ravine with seepage springs cutting through the park for approximately 1.5 miles. The park is home to bald eagles, Sherman's fox squirrels, gopher tortoises, red cockaded woodpeckers, various snakes, hawks, fox, and numerous songbirds. The Rainbow River is popular for swimming, snorkeling, canoeing, and kayaking. Canoes and kayaks can be rented at the headsprings. A picnic area at the spring includes tables, grills, and pavilions. For large gatherings, private pavilions can be reserved. Tubing is not allowed in the headsprings area of the park. Read more

In Craft Square, visitors can watch demonstrations of quilting, blacksmithing, stain glass making, and other crafts, or visit the gift shop. Hiking, bicycling, canoeing, and wildlife viewing are popular activities. Miles of trails wind through some of the most scenic areas of North Florida.
